Nike SB has long been known for their innovative and cutting-edge designs when it comes to skateboarding shoes. The latest addition to their lineup, the Nike SB Vertebrae, is no exception. This shoe is specifically designed for vert skaters, with features that cater to the unique demands of skating in a vertical ramp setting. The shoe is crafted from a combination of durable materials that provide support and protection without adding unnecessary bulk. This makes it easier for skaters to execute complex tricks and maneuvers while maintaining a high level of control and precision. The Nike SB Vertebrae also features a unique lacing system that provides a secure and snug fit. The laces are strategically placed to distribute pressure evenly across the foot, reducing the risk of discomfort or injury during high-impact landings. This ensures that skaters can focus on their performance without worrying a

Nike Air Zoom SuperRep 2

The second version of Nike's timely Air Zoom SuperRep is upon us, and it's your time to flex. If you hadn't notice this shoe or even the line, the name gives it away. Super... Rep.   Considering the amount of sneakers Nike pumps out per year, it's not hard to miss out on new lines. These workout sneakers are among the latest of Nike's projects to keep dominating the fitness market. Nike wants you to complete your reps with the Air Zoom SuperRep 2 on your feet.  As at home workouts continue especially during this pandemic, this seems like a viable market for the sneaker behemoth. The goal of the first Air Zoom SuperRep was too optimize movement during HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts. There's a lot of bending of the feet when we partake in mountain climbers and burpees.  The SuperRep's forefoot and two-unit cushioning system gives flexibility and ample support as the shoes seek to make your feet happier, less stressed and in pain. Whether at

Nike Air Presto "Origins"

Presto! This sums up Nike's upcoming release of the Presto Origins, which is an age defying patchwork of the shoes promotional icons through the years.  Just as the name implies, the presto has in recent years taken some inspiration in arts and crafts, because if you've ever worn Nike's presto, it's like Nike gave you an app with options and asked you to build your own sneakers, and presto, they came out instantly through a manufacturing device. Though that's not the case, because if you know Presto history, there's an actual true story, that we'll get to in a few paragraphs. Nike's Presto line of shoes never fail to impress with its creativity, and if you've ever owned a scrapbook or know some who does, you can see where the inspiration has been coming from recently, and with contributions from designer Monica Taylor in the form of colorful promo icon characters it makes for a memorable line.  The Presto Origins is like a collage of Presto things

D Rose 11

Derrick Rose's numbers are coming back. We're not talking about sneaker sales, but his on court figures since going through a massive dip in his career. The D Rose sneaker line is moving along with an eleventh model boasting five colors. The former MVP doesn't have as much name power in the sneaker industry as Lebron James and Kyrie Irving, but some will back him on the name he'd made with the Chicago Bulls.  Injuries have impacted his game play, but strong showings in 2018-2020 is helping him stand out more in Adidas' circle of basketball sponsorships. Pre injury Derrick Rose was hype. Fans will remember his ferocious speed and ability to run through the opposition all the way to the hoop. If he had stayed in prime form and in Chicago, perhaps his sneaker line would be competing with the likes of James, Irving and other greats in the western world.  Overseas, though, the D Rose line is boasting super star figures. It's been available in China months ago, and we

Lebron 8 Retro "Lakers"

It's not surprising that we're seeing Nike making use of the Lakers' brand. The Lebron 8 is getting a paintjob with the iconic purple and yellow colors. It's another championship after 10 years, with new players and management, which makes Lebron's shoes iconic in itself. The celebratory 2020 championship kicks. The last super star player to don the purple and yellow was Kobe, the Laker legend and soon to be hall of famer next year. He sold "shipments" of  yellow and purple shoes during his 20 years in Lakers uniform, much more than any of his team mates.  There were some rumors in May about the shoes dropping sometime before the end of 2020. A time when basketball was cancelled for a period of quarantining and before Laker's had a grand finals chance at the championship. Thankfully, basketball wasn't cancelled in 2020 and we got to see some on court action in which the Lakers defeated the Heats in the NBA Finals.  With the kind of year we had, whe

Nike Foamposite Pro

It’s hard to believe that Nike’s Foamposite shoe line is twenty-three years old and still thriving. Back in 1997, the Foamposite Pro was ahead of its time with a futuristic design that many thought was impossible to achieve. The shoe looked otherworldly, and putting it together required the genius of Nike’s designers. Nike’s Air Foamposite Pro hasn’t deviated from the original but we are getting a new colorway white/black/red/. It’s the ugly shoes that have stood the test of time. The inspiration came from a beetle, and we can see its influence running throughout the shoe with armor-like shaping and contours, metallic and aerodynamic features.  The Foamposite Pro wasn’t a welcomed addition to the sneaker industry. Many thought the plastic-reliant series would ruin shoe design with its bad example but as we see many shoe companies have taken inspiration from the Foamposite line, imitating its use of plastic-based materials. So sneaker the industry hasn’t died because of Nike’s Foamposit

Nike Air Penny 5

Twenty-six years later, and we're finally getting the Nike Air Penny 5 version of the movie" Blue Chips." The sneaker industry in recent years has been looking for inspirational colorways from movies and television in the basketball genre and beyond. It's an untapped industry, so this trend will undoubtedly continue in the coming years. "Blue Chips" has gotten the sneaker treatment this time around, bringing back to the spotlight a movie that did reasonably well in the box office back in the day. The movie touched on college scandals and how a college coach and basketball booster pays off talented high school graduates to join his college team as they're facing a losing season. It has aged well in terms of the message since scandals in the sports industry are still prevalent. "Blue Chips" had some mega and youthful stars in the likes of Shaquille O'Neil and Penny Hardaway, who after this movie had his big break with the Orlando Magic'

Mickey Mouse x Adidas "Stan Smith Collection"

It's the latest clash of icons with Disney's beloved mascot teaming up with Adidas' treasured silhouette. This combination of industry titans has amassed 139 years of production between them, and they've finally crossed paths with the release of the Mickey Mouse x Adidas Stan Smith collection. Mickey Mouse is essentially 92 years of age, and Stan Smith is still a young man in comparison at 47 years of age. Despite the age difference, Stan Smith is an even worthy host for the superstar mouse. Disney has been trying new things lately, notably with their own streaming service, which saw them cut ties with the content streamers of their shows and franchises. The good thing is that they're still showing a desire for collaboration in this collection with Adidas. The last great Mickey Mouse collab in the shoe industry was with Vans in 2015, which saw Disney dump their character designs on a plethora of van silhouettes. There was something for everyone in this &q
