Nike recently treated sneaker fans to the Air Raid Jungle Gym from 1993 (which we covered here at Sneakerjawns), and now we're getting the 2014 remake. The Air Raid brand has been building some steam this year with the Air Raid Low, Air Raid Jungle Gym, and Air Raid OG, and notably the Nike Air Max 1 featuring in the Live Together Play Together Pack with a Jungle Gym colorway. On top of that, the 90s silhouette is getting releases at the beginning of the year with the Air Raid 2014 remake and the Air Raid Ray Guns. The old silhouette is getting some attention from their makers, that is Nike, to give more variations to the classic style. The Nike Air Raid has much lore to it, designed by Tinker Hatfield as an outdoor counterpart to the Air Jordans, featured in commercials with Spike Lee, hence the Live Together Play Together ethos. The 2014 Black and White Air Raid is not as colorful as the jungle gym, but style doesn't always come with flare. Let's ...
Get ready for another Jordan classic. Nike dipped into the MJ vault to bring back again the Zoom '92. It's new concord colorway is a throwback to Air Max 180. This is not another Jordan technically, but Jordan did wear the "Concord" colorway that appeared on the Air Max 180 during the year of '92 while he travelled to Barcelona for the Olympics alongside the basketball dream team.
MJ didn't wear J's all the time, therefore kicks like the Air Max 180 made appearances on the legendary forward's feet. Though the Air Jordan VII "Olympic" upstaged it that year the 180 remains part of basketball history. Let's take a closer look at the Nike Air Jordan Zoom 2.
The classic blue colorway appears on the tongue and back parts of the sneakers. It stands out especially on the tongue that contains a white jump-man. Summit white takes up a large residence on the uppers with a gold swoosh on the laterals and gold detailing above the midsection midsoles which add some flare and style to the overall look. The Nike Air Zoom 2 Concord will launch by summer at Nike.com.
