It's like a cross between old and new, past meets future. Though these sneakers are on the bulky side, their futuristic additions make them stand out.
The Fontanka is a new member of the Nike line, trying to make a name for itself in the presence of tried and true womens sneakers like the Air Max series. It will be among Nike's first 2021 debutees, and if it's received well, may encourage more futuristic/bulky women's shoes from the company.
Let's have a closer look at the bulky sneakers. It's predominantly black, using greys and lighter blacks, some of varying material to add contrast in the shoes. The sole unit is what gives the Fontanka its bulky look which makes it seem like the upper is sitting on a big block of rubber.
