Nike Air Zoom SuperRep 2

The second version of Nike's timely Air Zoom SuperRep is upon us, and it's your time to flex. If you hadn't notice this shoe or even the line, the name gives it away. Super... Rep.

Considering the amount of sneakers Nike pumps out per year, it's not hard to miss out on new lines. These workout sneakers are among the latest of Nike's projects to keep dominating the fitness market. Nike wants you to complete your reps with the Air Zoom SuperRep 2 on your feet.

As at home workouts continue especially during this pandemic, this seems like a viable market for the sneaker behemoth. The goal of the first Air Zoom SuperRep was too optimize movement during HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts. There's a lot of bending of the feet when we partake in mountain climbers and burpees.

The SuperRep's forefoot and two-unit cushioning system gives flexibility and ample support as the shoes seek to make your feet happier, less stressed and in pain. Whether at the gym, or in home these shoes are made for high intensity people. And with the success that Peloton is having with an influx of people for their bikes and at home subscription workouts, Nike knows this can be a winner.

The SuperRep 2 aims to surpass it's predecessor in comfort and performance, meaning you can push harder to the last rep.

Let's look at the Air Zoom SuperRep in detail. What looks similar: The the signature exaggerated arc design near the ball of the foot. What's looks different: while the first Adidas SuperRep sports a classic lace up tongue, the upper on the SuperRep 2 encloses almost entirely on the lace area making the upper look like a jacket or sleeve.

This works to adjust the foot in one place for stability during workouts, so your feet are wrapped up in comfort. This time around, there is added room thus support in the forefoot which helps with forefoot heavy workout routines where stability is needed.

Black is the dominant color in all versions of the sneakers, both men and women. There are alternate colors of blue, neon green, and purple for the air unit, swoosh, and outsole which is what makes it pop.

The Air Zoom SuperRep is set for a launch December 10th in China, December 26 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and January 4 everywhere else.
