The Reebok legend "Instapump Fury" serves as inspiration for the company's latest concept sneaker the Model F. Reebok's Instapump Fury has had a legacy on par with many of the leading sneakers from Adidas and Nike.
The amount of Instapumps we got this year shows that the Reebok classic is still bringing it. Especially in Asia, where popularity and sales surpass numbers in North America and Europe. Reebok's creative output this year has been on another level with experimental shoes having the spotlight.
They're ending the year with an original concept for the Instapump Fury which keeps some of the iconic parts the legendary sneaker is known for while giving it a sleek fresh take. The Instapump Fury's original has stood the test of time as something unique with all it's 48 parts. Yet it's like a well oiled machine, one of the most popular runners to ever exist.
The Instapump Fury Model F Citron sheds its parts and gives us more of a one piece Instapump Fury. The Model F will be debuting with the iconic Instapump Fury color, "Citron." It also imitates much of the color placements in the original. The Instapump Fury has a sci-fi look in it's own right with the somewhat robotic nature of the parts.
In comparison, the Model F looks more like a sleeker futuristic version, much more seamless. It's parts are thinner than the original, except the heel tab which is designed bulkier. It makes use of geometric shapes, further giving it that futuristic look.
The contrast between the vector red, acid yellow and black colors heighten the drama. Of course, the Model F concept retains the original Instapump Fury's inflation technology which enable's the wearer to pump air into his sneakers by pressing a button on the tongue, thus improving comfort.
The Reebok Instapump Fury Model F will launch soon in Japan and in the rest of the world some time after.
