Nike SB “Vertebrae“

Nike SB has long been known for their innovative and cutting-edge designs when it comes to skateboarding shoes. The latest addition to their lineup, the Nike SB Vertebrae, is no exception. This shoe is specifically designed for vert skaters, with features that cater to the unique demands of skating in a vertical ramp setting. One of the standout features of the Nike SB Vertebrae is its lightweight construction. The shoe is crafted from a combination of durable materials that provide support and protection without adding unnecessary bulk. This makes it easier for skaters to execute complex tricks and maneuvers while maintaining a high level of control and precision. The Nike SB Vertebrae also features a unique lacing system that provides a secure and snug fit. The laces are strategically placed to distribute pressure evenly across the foot, reducing the risk of discomfort or injury during high-impact landings. This ensures that skaters can focus on their performance without worrying a

Nike Sb Nyjah

Are Nike SBs good skating shoes? Ask any casual skate boarder and they will say yes. Even professional skateboarders like Nyjah Huston will confirm it. The quality of Nike SBs premium sneakers set industry standards. There's a reminder on the tongue "For Daily Use," which promises that the Nike SB you're wearing will be able to endure the daily "grind."  We get so many Nike SBs per year, but the Nike SB Nyjah stands out as it has a professional's name to go with the Nike branding, Nyjah Hurston. Nike is going through with the release despite Nyjah not competing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to it getting postponed.  The colorway of the Nike SB Nyjah borrows from Los Angeles icon yellow and purple colors.  Let's take a closer look at the Nike SB Nyjah. The inspiration for this colorway is a dead give away, with court purple and university gold having a place on this SB.  If that weren't enough there's an embroidered 23 on the lateral in the

Nike Zoom Freak 2 Alphabet

Giannis didn't get a ring in 2020, and his Milwaukee Bucks failed to even reach the NBA Finals. But that hasn't stopped management from offering him the most generous 5-year contract in NBA history. Despite the set back, the Greek Freak will be at it with Milwaukee Bucks for the next five years or more for the ring that has thus eluded them.  While the 2020/2021 NBA season begins, Nike is releasing the Zoom Freak 2 which has an alphabet pattern. This reminds us of the Nike Zoom Freak Midnight Navy, which featured fun illustrations in the same way.  Let's take a look at the latest outing from Nike and Giannis. The alphabet letters are the predominant creative design feature of the sneakers, alongside the gigantic red swoosh running across the laterals. This in effect demands attention and is arguably equals the alphabet design in prominence. It establishes design connections by being part of the eye stays and joining to the yellow pull tab on the heel. The Zoom Freak 2 Alp

Air Jordan 1 High Switch

Can't decide on a low or top in the Jordan line up? Whether you're a low guy, high guy or both the Air Jordan 1 Switch has something for because it enables you to switch between high and low. This 2 for 1 package is the latest in a line up of Jordans coming our as this year ends and next year begins. The Jordan switch's switch mechanic is not often seen in the world of sneaker releases.  Add the fact that Jordans are crazy expensive offering this two for one deal is kind of generous seeing this hasn't been done in Jordan history. We have seen zipper-like convertible constructions from Neil Barret, which is like $400 but the Jordan Switch will cost you $150.  The two way concept hasn't been indulged in as of yet, but this may open the flood gates. Nothing surprises in this age of sneakers, as designers let their imaginations run wild with concepts like the recent Air Force 1 sneakers by Bait which come with beef-like stick ons. The Nike Jordan Switch promotes a sim

Jordan 11 Adapt

Adapt, a fitting name for the Jordan brand. The adapt family of shoes didn't have prosperous beginnings. There were issues with comfort and design, but it has improve since those days. The adapt technology has become a lot more reliable and comforting. It has more of a following because of the improvements. No wonder the news of the Air Jordan 11 Adapt threatened to break the internet. This really shows that adapt shoes are becoming more mainstream.  The adaptive fit line hasn't yet captured enough paying customers as Nike's other big boys: Jordans, Air Max, Air Force 1, Low Dunks, you get the point. In fact it's not even close in terms of notoriety and fanbase compared to Nike's heavy hitters, but Nike still has intentions of hustling the adaptive fit technology as can be seen with pairing them with Jordans, a titan in their line up. Perhaps this will make more people buy into the idea and enlarge the adaptive technology fanbase.  Though launching at $500 USD, th

Medicom x Nike Dunk Low Bearbrick

Medicom is still in the sneaker game, and still making colorful miniature animals. Although the shoe releasing part is like a part time gig, their collaborations with Nike which go way back is always a sight to see. Nike/Medicom collaborations tend to have a toyish, furry vibe.  The toy company's dealings with Nike's Low Dunks is duly noted as most of, if not all their releases have been with this popular silhouette. And remember too that Medicom has been doing business with Nike since 2004 so Medicom/Low Dunks have been in a relationship for 16 years, going strong.  The Japanese toy company seem to be happy with the business arrangement. Although it's collaboration hasn't been on the wild side in terms of design, the branding is noteworthy. This recent iteration is the most wild design we have seen from a Medicom/Nike collaboration. It's furry, that's wild.  Early this year, the pair released the Medicom X Nike Be@rbrick, which was furry black, but this time

Meissen x Adidas 10, 000

Floral arrangements on sneakers seem to be in this year, and the Meissen/Adidas variation looks like the best we've seen so far. Flower patterns tend to romanticize sneakers, and sure, they're people who are into showing their "soft" side.  The Meissen x Adidas flat out looks like a beautiful piece of art. And to separate themselves from other designers doing flower on sneakers this year, Meissen is an actual art company dealing with designs on porcelain. So they got artistic credentials and expresses something that fit their brand.  The official images show porcelain samples, but we're not show if that's their handiwork or generic stage props. Meissen's website displays extravagant hand painted porcelain work if you're into that thing. It's the sort of look that they're going for with their debut adidas sneakers.  Upon closer inspection of the sneakers, you're left saying "I see what you did there." The Meissen x Adidas ZX 10,

Nike Air Force 1/1

Sneakers these days are pushing the boundaries of innovation, putting more control into the wearer's hands. DIY shoes are releasing more frequently with customizable options never before in the history of sneakers. The Nike Air Force 1/1 releasing December 17th is one such sneaker showing ingenuity. It offers dismantling options, shedding pieces revealing adhesive fabric beneath.  We have seen the use of stick on parts in shoes in the last couple of years. Nike has been the main proponent of this type of DIY shoes, but they have never designed any customizable adhesive fabric sneakers to this degree. In this latest project the whole kit is customizable while in previous versions the options were limited to patches and parts. Nike's Air Force 1/1 really shows how they're moving the silhouette forward and thinking of new ideas to keep the famed kicks fresh.  The Air Force 1 seems to be their main source of experimentation with adhesive fabric, and we have seen this year addin

Nike Zoom Type "Wool"

2030 is a big year for many companies. Nike's Zoom Type is another step in reaching their zero carbon emission goal in ten years. They have committed to the Paris Act of 2015 as so many of the industry leading companies. Nike's effort to reach that goal is notable with the amount of recycled themed kicks we've been getting in the last two years.  The Space Hippie line of sneakers has been Nike's premiere recycle designed shoe, and according to them the one that has the least carbon foot print in their catalogue of 56 years of sneakers. It's hard to design sneakers which help the environment while staying true to branding and appealing to paying customers but Nike accomplished that with their Space Hippie collection which really set the stage for their future recycled projects.  Of course, the Nike Vapormax Flyknit has joined it as another successful recycled shoe project. This is helping Nike reach it's 2030 goal, along with other projects like working to dive

Instapump Fury Model F "Citron"

The Reebok legend "Instapump Fury" serves as inspiration for the company's latest concept sneaker the Model F. Reebok's Instapump Fury has had a legacy on par with many of the leading sneakers from Adidas and Nike.  The amount of Instapumps we got this year shows that the Reebok classic is still bringing it. Especially in Asia, where popularity and sales surpass numbers in North America and Europe. Reebok's creative output this year has been on another level with experimental shoes having the spotlight.  They're ending the year with an original concept for the Instapump Fury which keeps some of the iconic parts the legendary sneaker is known for while giving it a sleek fresh take. The Instapump Fury's original has stood the test of time as something unique with all it's 48 parts. Yet it's like a well oiled machine, one of the most popular runners to ever exist.  The Instapump Fury Model F Citron sheds its parts and gives us more of a one piece In

Nike Air Raid "Urban Jungle Gym"

The 1993 Nike Air Raid is getting some shine in Nike's latest revamp of their 90s sneaker classics. This is one of many great kicks designed by Tinker Hatfield, so you know this reissue is deserved.  Although we had the opportunity in 2014 to get our hands on the Nike Air Raid "Urban Jungle Gym," the silhouette went astray from the original, but the new Nike Air Raid "Urban Jungle Gym" promises to stick super close to the original with official pictures as proof.  There's some more interesting history behind them. As we know, the Air Jordan's line was a massive hit, designed by Tinker Hatfield himself. The original Air Raid was the meant as the outdoor colleague to Air Jordans. It featured a memorable slogan on the sneakers "For Outdoor Use Only." This was on display for Spike Lee's promo video for the 1992 Nike Air Raid, where he narrates Tim Hardaway's shots on a colorful outdoor court. It's cheesy and so 90s. And true to roots,

Adidas "Black Core" by Nasa

Let's take a look at the Adidas Nasa Ultra Boost DNA "Black Core." We're getting black hole vibes, but maybe it's just us. While we're covering this one, we will talk about the Adidas Nasa Ultra Boost DNA "Signal Green," which you get it, glows in the dark. It will be releasing one day after the Black Core.  The starry space theme is strong in this month's NASA/Adidas offerings, and follow the trend of the ongoing partnership. You've probably seen a pair of ultra boosts floating in space, if you've spent significant time on social media and have Adidas ads following you. Adidas seems to be reaching for the stars in their business partnership with NASA. If you didn't know now you know. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has "landed" into the sneaker industry and has chosen to partner with Adidas. Not that Nasa hasn't taken an intergalactic interest in fashion, as you will be many people walking aro

Adidas Ozweego Celox

The Ozweego goes way back, way back into the 90s yet we're still getting fresh takes on the classic with the latest Adidas Originals of the Ozweego Celox. If you still call them "Weegz" you were born and raised in the 90s or a little before that.  The Ozweego Celox looks all futuristic and sleek, and Adidas has done a good job of progressing the silhouette while staying true to roots and aesthetics. You can still tell this is the much loved chunky sneakers from twenty plus years ago by looking at the futuristic Ozweego Celox. It's much shinier and slimmed down but the same.  Since 1996 we have gotten a ton of remakes, and even from 2019-2020 alone we got the Ozweego Neoprene, the Ozweego Replicant, the Ozweego Capsule which was striking with its mirrored finish lower part.  The experimentation the Ozweego has been getting really shows this shoe will be with us for some time. At the original launch date it was the recipient of the adiPRENE shock absorbing technology,
